| My grandpa was the best. One of my most favorite places as a child was sitting in his lap and we loved to laugh. Later in life he taught me how to be an Arkansas Razorback fan:) But of all my treasured memories his impact on my life and in my heart was felt and seen by his love for God and people(1 John 3:23). I grieve the loss of my friend and grandpa but I look forward to the day we meet again. "And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us." ~ 1 John 3:23 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." ~John 3:16 Because He lives I can face tomorrow.......... | | |

| Happy 4th of July! Thanks to everyone who sacrifices in order to perserve my freedom! Today was a great day. It started about about 6am getting up for the Firecracker 5K. It was hot and humid, but fun. Right passed mile 2 I heard my dad cheering for me and when I looked over there he was grining from ear to ear. It was just what I needed. Then when I was coming up on the finish line, he was there and I just took off. We then had all my dads family over. Grandpaents, cousins, my cousins kids, plus a few of their friends. There ended up being 24 people in our house. It was a wild and crazy time but memories made I wouldn't trade. It was good for me to lay back and play with kids. From walking barefoot, to blowing bubbles, and standing with my dad on the deck with an umbrella as he cooked hamburgers in the pouring down rain, we just laughed and had fun. Today was all about family. There were a few moments when I got sad, but remembered that it was a happy day. But the thought this will most likely be my grandfathers last 4th of July (that is hard for me to even type). But God has given us this time and we had a wonderful time together and will continue to until God calls him home. I told him that as a child one of my most favorite places was sitting in his lap as he told me stories. To sum up my day Family, Fun, Fellowship, Friends | | |
